BBC journalist shares what Celtic fans did as Rangers footage emerged in final

Celtic fans were booing their lungs out ahead of the cup final at Hampden when Rangers footage emerged on the big screen.

That's according to BBC journalist Thomas Duncan, who was in attendance well before kick-off.

The game ended 1-0 in favour of the Hoops with Brendan Rodgers ending the season with another trophy.

Duncan wrote on 25 May at 14:21: "There has been some grade-A booing already and the stadium is nowhere near full.

"The big screens are showing classic Old Firm Scottish Cup ties and every Rangers goal has been roundly jeered by some Celtic fans.

"Nobody does booing like Scottish football fans."

Rangers and Celtic fans created an unreal atmosphere

It's indeed a positive development to see both sets of fans at the same stadium for the Old Firm Scottish Cup final.

This is a significant departure from recent rules that banned away fans from SPFL games between the two Glasgow clubs.

With the new rules coming in place, this atmosphere will soon be recreated in the SPFL as well.
