Alan Hutton makes Rangers prediction live on air after Viaplay Cup win v Aberdeen

There are “much more positive times” ahead for Rangers, according to former Gers and Scotland defender Alan Hutton.

The prediction was made after the Glasgow outfit lifted the Viaplay Cup after beating Aberdeen 1-0 on Sunday (17 December).

Right-back and captain James Tavernier scored the only goal of the match at Hampden Park to secure the narrow victory.

“This means everything,” Hutton said on Viaplay, as transcribed by BBC Sport. “You just trust in the process, you trust this manager.

“That’s what he’s come here to do, bring back the steeliness of this side. Look at the league, look at this... Much more positive times for Rangers are ahead.”
