Todd Cantwell has been spotted with his Rangers teammates ahead of a flight to the Netherlands for their pre-season camp.

The Scottish Sun has shared images (7 July) of the Gers squad boarding a flight as Philippe Clement looks set to take charge of his first summer.

Cantwell has been seen with the Light Blues squad boarding the flight despite transfer links away from Ibrox this summer.

Saudi Arabian side Al-Qadsiah, who now have James Bisgrove, have shown an interest in signing the Englishman [The Scottish Sun, 4 July].

The Gers have not been afraid to move on various star names this summer as Clement looks to rebuild his squad ahead of the new campaign.

Mainstays like Borna Barisic and Ryan Jack have departed at the end of their contracts while loan deals for Abdallah Sima and Fabio Silva have expired.

Despite featuring more regularly last season, Cantwell could be used as a makeweight as Clement looks to improve his team.

The Englishman is certainly a figure who divides opinion but there is no doubt that he has qualities which are exhibited on occasion.

With interest coming from Saudi Arabia, there is a chance that Rangers could bring in a large transfer fee while Cantwell could get a positive wage increase.

The deal could make sense for all parties but it remains to be seen if Bisgrove and Al-Qadsiah will make an offer.
