Abdallah Sima may have played his final match at Ibrox, with Rangers entering into advanced talks for a "magical" summer transfer.

The Brighton winger is set to return to the Premier League club after a sensational season in Scotland, while the Gers are keen to sign him permanently, questions have been raised over whether the club can afford him.

With 16 goals and two assists in all competitions, despite a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury, the 22-year-old will be leaving as a much-loved figure at Ibrox.

Instead, as per AfricaFoot, they are now in "very advanced" talks to sign Ferencvaros winger Adama Traore in a deal worth £3.5million, having been described as "magical" in the report.

Although the club look close to agreeing on personal terms, there is no doubt that Sima would have been the first choice this summer. Traore is just far more affordable.

Rangers set to sign Adama Traore this summer

Like Sima, Traore is capable of deputising on either flank and has been in incredible form this season, boasting 14 goals and five assists in all competitions.

He also has a limited injury history, as per Transfermarkt, which will certainly be a plus for Philippe Clement next season after a whole host of important injuries during the 2023/24 campaign.

While a total rebuild is to be expected at Ibrox this summer, with Rangers missing out on the Scottish Premiership title to their Old Firm rivals Celtic, Clement is working on a shoe-string budget.

Abdallah Sima has done well for Rangers this past season

Multiple outgoings could be possible, with the likes of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Borna Barisic and John Lundstram linked with exits, so lower transfer fees for new signings will be preferred.

His lack of experience in Europe's top five leagues could be a concern to a few fans, though the majority will be excited by his form this season and the decent transfer fee for the 28-year-old.
