Rangers receive injury boost on three players after Club Brugge draw
Rangers drew 2-2 with Club Brugge in their first pre-season match of the summer, and there were several surprising selections.
Russell Martin took charge of his first game at Ibrox, and saw his side rescue a draw after going 2-0 down within 13 minutes.
A number of players who may leave Rangers started the game and there were several notable absentees.
New signings Joe Rothwell and Lyle Cameron did not feature, while strikers Cyriel Dessers and Hamza Igamane were also absent, but the Gers have now been handed a positive injury boost.
Cameron, John Souttar and Jose Cifuentes to return
Thelo Aasgaard also did not feature, but Rangers were also missing a number of other players through injury.
John Souttar and Jose Cifuentes were among the absentees as the injury list at Ibrox remained high despite the post-season break.
However, speaking after the game, Martin revealed that Cifuentes, Souttar and Cameron are all due back in training this week, ahead of another behind-closed doors friendly at St George's Park.

“So those guys trained a really big session this morning,” he stated, via the Daily Record (July 6).
"A really big session with John Souttar, Lyle Cameron and Jose Cifuentes, who only came back this week.
“So, they'll be ready this week. They'll play in the games we have. The next two games. One in the training camp and then one back here. So, they'll improve us. That'll make us better."
Rangers need to be more ruthless in squad rebuild
Some surprising names were on the teamsheet against Club Brugge, and Rangers fans were fearing another dismal season as they went 2-0 down and were outclassed in the first half.
The likes of Robin Propper and Jefte have been touted as players likely to depart this summer, but both were in action and both disappointed at Ibrox.
Rangers need to get moving in the transfer window, with Champions League qualifiers coming up at the end of the month, and some of the underperforming players from last season cannot continue to play a part in pre-season.
Martin is working with the players he has at his disposal, and more incomings are needed quickly to bed in before the start of next season.
