Rangers: Barry Ferguson and Peter Grant make Dujon Sterling prediction despite injury update
Rangers manager Philippe Clement will start the "unbelievable" Dujon Sterling for the Gers Old Firm showdown with Celtic, according to Barry Ferguson and Peter Grant.
The Light Blues welcome Brendan Rodgers' side to the blue half of Glasgow on Sunday (7 April) knowing that their first Old Firm win of the season will see them leapfrog the Hoops and return to the top of the Premiership.
While reports have suggested that Clement won't risk starting Sterling from the off [Scottish Daily Mail, 4 April], Ferguson believes the Belgian will throw the Englishman in the deep end because of his impressive partnership with James Tavernier.
Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show (3 April, 1:01:40) he said: "I think Sterling will play on that right side. He's an athlete, he'll get up and down that right side. Listen, he's one of those players who must be a joy to work with as a manager.
"He could play anywhere, you put him in the centre of the pitch, you put him wide left, you put him wide right, left-back, right-back. I just think he will play him on the right side because I think he and Tavernier work really well together."
Peter Grant agreed saying: "Sterling's their Maeda, in terms of getting up and down the pitch and the energy that he's got. Unbelievable work ethic and that's important. You can't all be superstars."

Rangers will know that they will have to be at their best to claim all three points at Ibrox on Sunday. If Clement's side can find a way to win, they will be taking a massive step towards the Premiership title.
Sterling has managed to transition from a fringe figure in Glasgow to one of the Gers' most important players currently and it would be a massive boost to Clement if he was able to call on him from the off against the Hoops.
While the Belgian won't want to lose the versatile star for an extended length of time, it would be a waste to keep him waiting in the wings so that he can feature in the coming weeks as no game will be as crucial as this upcoming tie.
Hopefully, Sterling is fit and available to start against Rodgers' side. His partnership with Tavernier could win the Light Blues the game both in and out of possession and it would be a massive blow if he could only play a handful of minutes.
