Rangers attacker Rabbi Matondo, who has been out with an injury has taken to Instagram to share an image of him in training.

The Wales international shared the picture on 7 October and captioned it "Soon" indicating he's close to making a first-team return.

The 24-year-old last played for Gers on 1 September when they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Celtic.

Rabbi Matondo could be an important player this season for Rangers

When asked about Matondo's situation on Sunday, 6 October, Philippe Clement revealed that he was not ready to return without really putting a timeframe.

His return to some kind of training before the international break is kind of a positive indicator that he may be nearing full fitness.

It's understood that he will return to full first-team training by the end of October and it remains to be seen if he's on course for a quicker return.

Seeing him share this image is a positive sign and Clement will also be delighted that he could have him back in contention quicker than expected.

He's scored two goals and provided two assists in four league games this term and will offer something different in the final third.

Hopefully, he does not face any further setbacks and is ready to return to the first team right after the international break.
