Rangers can now dream big after the takeover by the 49ers Enterprises was confirmed at Ibrox.

That figure might not seem like much, given that the Bhoys have spent much more over the previous few campaigns.

However, Gers supporters are getting excited, and a famous Donald Trump slogan has been reinvented for the times ahead.

Rangers given Trump slogan live on air

It feels as though Rangers are turning a corner under the 49ers, as they look to close a 17-point gap on Celtic.

Rangers were well off the pace this season

The Gers are set to appoint a new manager, with Davide Ancelotti and Russell Martin the leading candidates.

As well as a new boss, the Glasgow club are poised to make significant changes on the pitch, with new arrivals imminent.

With all these changes happening, it feels apt that Rangers should be given a new slogan as they enter an exciting new dawn.

While live on talkSPORT (31 May, 9:00am), Natalie Sawyer and Dean Saunders were discussing the confirmed takeover.

Sawyer said: "Well, what I will say is, when all this news has come out, though (chuckling), this is fantastic.

"Rangers fans with hats saying 'make Rangers great again'."

Saunders laughed: "Yeah, well hopefully, because they have been fighting for a few years now, where, I'm being honest, Celtic have got more money to spend than Rangers."

Rangers face key manager decision at Ibrox

It seems as though the Rangers manager saga will soon end after talks with Ancelotti and Martin.

The Italian had been the favourite to take over for some time, but Martin has reportedly surprised the Rangers board during his interview.

Davide, son of Carlo, has no experience as a manager, but has been by his legendary father's side, learning along the way.

Whether he has what it takes to be a success in management remains to be seen, but he has worked at Europe's top clubs.

As for Martin, he did an admirable job of getting Southampton promoted, but struggled in the Premier League.

In fairness, the Saints' job was an impossible task, and Martin should not be judged for the South Coast club's woeful failings.

Whoever the Gers hierarchy decide to appoint, supporters must get behind them as the Ibrox club marches on.
