Rangers are reportedly on the verge of receiving around £200,000 as Ross Wilson added a sell-on clause in the Ross McCrorie deal.
According to the Glasgow Times journalist Chris Jack [24 April], an agreement is close between Bristol City and Aberdeen for the 25-year-old.
He appears set to leave Pittodrie for £2million to move south of the border and play in England's second tier.
Smart business
Wilson may not have done too many things right at the club but it's a good thing that he put a sell-on clause in this deal.
McCrorie was always set to become better and fetch more money so Rangers deserve to be compensated for that.
He did not make the cut at Ibrox and that doesn't have to mean that the club didn't do their best to make him ready for senior football.
It does make sense to put such clauses while selling players, especially if the buying clubs are hell-bent on signing them.
Hopefully, Wilson's successor also does something similar and changes the way the club recruits players as that really needs to be improved.
This summer is pivotal with a lot of first-team players likely to leave so it remains to be seen who is being brought through the door.
