Rangers are set to step in court on Thursday, 1 August, to fight a legal battle with Elite Sports Ltd, according to the Scottish Sun.

The newspaper reported via its online edition on 1 August that the firm linked with former kit supplier Hummel sportswear is suing Gers to the tune of £9.5million in compensation.

They are suing the club for breach of contract with a multi-million amount in lost sales and proceedings are expected to go on for eight days.

Rangers may face financial trouble if things go south

If the court rules in favour of Elite Sports, Gers could face significant financial consequences, potentially impacting the club's financial stability and future operations.

The lawsuit seeks £9.5million in compensation for an alleged breach of contract, which could impact the club's financial stability and future operations.

Losing the case might also lead to reputational damage and affect the club's ability to secure future partnerships and sponsorships.

Additionally, the legal costs associated with the case could further strain the club's finances.

Gers, who plan on being self sustainable would not want this to happen as it affects the team not just on the pitch but off it as well.

Rangers fans cannot see their team at home for the time being

Fans who are already seeing a vast gulf between Gers and Celtic will only be more disappointed if things don't pan out as they would want.
