Rangers enter the final play-off round to qualify for UEFA Conference League on Thursday.

The Bears welcome Jablonec to Ibrox for the first leg of their play-off on 20 August, with nothing but a win needed.

Derek McInnes knows crucial this is, having crashed out of the Europa League embarrassingly last week.

Rangers were beaten 3-2 on aggregate by Polish side, Jagiellonia, only managing a 1-1 draw in Govan.

But, with the season finally kickstarted with a 5-1 win over St Mirren in the Premier Sports Cup last time out, confidence is high.

Just how much could Rangers earn from the Conference League?

Rangers already embarrassed by Celtic

As hard as it is to admit, it looks like our nearest rivals will be in the Champions League this season.

While that could backfire against elite opposition, the financial rewards are in another dimension to what the rest of Scotland will earn.

Rangers want to be back there, but can't turn their noses up at the Conference League now.

According to the Daily Mail, qualification against Jablonec will bank the Light Blues £2.7million.

On top of that, every win in the group stage is worth £340,000, so there is money to be earned.

Thankfully, Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers Enterprises aren't afraid to inject capital into the club when needed.

Rangers have no excuses with new signings

Even when things haven't gone well over the last two seasons, the one constant is financial backing.

Whether Russell Martin, Danny Rohl or McInnes, none of them can have any excuses around the money being spent on transfers.

Rangers have added James Penrice and Kosta Nedeljkovic since crashing out of the Europa League, with both available against Jablonec.

They need more from the likes of Lawrence Shankland, who has only scored one competitive goal since arriving from Hearts.

Given how poor Rangers have been on their travels to tricky European countries, a healthy lead may be needed before the reverse fixture in Czechia.

Jablonec are no pushovers, though, so McInnes can not allow another qualifier to slip through his fingers here.
