Rangers' takeover has now been confirmed, and it is set to bring a whole host of changes to Ibrox.

After what has been a miserable few seasons in Glasgow, Rangers fans now have something to look forward to after the 49ers Enterprises takeover was officially announced on Friday (30 May).

Spearheaded by Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe, the Light Blues should expect fresh investment, and also a new manager, with Davide Ancelotti still the front runner.

However, the takeover is also going to spark changes behind the scenes at Ibrox, with an update shared on the future of Graeme Park.

Park set for Rangers departure

There is plenty of change needed at Ibrox this summer, and while most of it will be focused on the things on the pitch, those off of it will also need attention.

Rangers' hierarchy have shown a complete lack of ambition over the last few years, and you could make a case for the Gers being horribly mismanaged when it comes to finances and decisions made.

However, the hope will be that all of that will change under the 49ers, and as per Chris Jack via Rangers Review, they are set to make changes.

Rangers finished 17 points behind Celtic this season.

Park will step down from the Rangers board, alongside Julian Wolhardt and Alistair Johnston, with Ibrox sources expressing their thanks to the trio for the work done.

As relayed by Jack, they said: "They stepped up in a difficult moment when the club needed them and laid the foundation for what comes next."

Of course, for Rangers fans, the 'next' step will be to find a way to get back to competing with Celtic and climb back to the summit of Scottish football.

Rangers have huge opportunity this summer

The foundation of a trophy-winning team is certainly present at Ibrox, though it is evident that they need a new injection of quality to go back to the next level.

With the 49ers now fully on board, investment should come with it, and it should allow the Light Blues to make the necessary signings this summer.

This is a huge chance for Rangers to right their wrongs, and they can't afford to make any more mistakes.
