Sevilla president gives green signal as Rangers make Joan Jordan transfer offer

Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido Carrasco has approved the offer made by Rangers to sign Joan Jordan, according to Gol Digital.

The news outlet reported on 26 July that it is a "significant" offer made by the Ibrox outfit and they're willing to cover 60 per cent of his wages.

The initial offer made by Gers did not convince Victor Orta and Carrasco, but this one has been given the green signal, with the decision resting on the 30-year-old midfielder.

Joan Jordan would be a quality addition to the Rangers side

The Spaniard would bring a wealth of experience to the Gers side, having played over 200 games in La Liga and more than 20 in the Champions League.

His style of play is also a great fit for the Ibrox outfit as he is a versatile midfielder who can play as a defensive midfielder or a central midfielder.

Jordan's ability to read the game, intercept passes and distribute the ball effectively makes him an excellent addition to any midfield.

Furthermore, Jordan's arrival could complement Mohamed Diomande, who has been a mainstay in the midfield since moving to Glasgow.

Diomande is more of a box-to-box midfielder who likes to get forward and contribute to the attack.

Jordan's more defensive and controlling style of play could provide the perfect balance in midfield, allowing the Ivorian more freedom to push forward and create chances.
