Philippe Clement has named his Rangers XI as he aims to secure the right result against Lyon on 3 October at Ibrox.

After beating Malmo in the Europa League opener, Gers are undoubtedly riding high and will want to add to their points tally.

The Belgian has opted to bench Hamza Igamane with Cryiel Dessers leading the line.

It's important for Gers to start this one on the front foot and look to take the game to their French opponents.

Lyon are historically a tough club to go up against as they've had good results in Champions League games in recent seasons.

However, Gers have proven in the past that they can shake up even the biggest names in Europe on their day if they apply themselves and have a proper plan.

Whether or not they'll be able to get the three points here remains to be seen, but they will certainly give it their all.

Clement knows he's going to have to come up with a few tactical surprises as Lyon are not going to be pushovers.

That said, it's going to be an enthralling game and one we cannot wait for.
