Scott Allan has his say as Findlay Curtis is named in Scotland World Cup squad
Scott Allan has spoken out after Steve Clarke included Rangers talent Findlay Curtis in his Scotland squad for the World Cup.
The 19-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Kilmarnock and certainly made a positive impression.
A move to Rugby Park ultimately made total sense as his game time continued to be limited even after the introduction of Danny Rohl.
He was given a deserved chance by Neil McCann and took it with both hands as a source of goals in the Scottish Premiership.
Curtis’ form has earned him a Scotland World Cup spot, sparking an immediate reaction from Allan in the wake of the squad announcement.

The Tartan Army are preparing for a trip to North America for the World Cup, which they have waited over 28 years for.
They are looking ahead to an initial three-group games where a clash against Brazil will almost certainly represent the most difficult outing.

Clarke has the task of picking a squad capable of dealing with the quality of the Selecao while also looking to secure victory over Haiti in the opening match.
His 26-man squad features a wide range of names, with Curtis sneaking in as one of only two true wingers in the squad alongside Ben Gannon-Doak.
That has come as a surprise to many, with Allan echoing that opinion in his reaction to BBC Sportscene on Tuesday.
He said: “It’s very early in his career to be going to a World Cup, but we just don’t have enough players throughout the squad who can come on and influence a game with that sort of pace and directness.
“He is someone who can get you up the pitch.”
Curtis looks ready to return to Rangers after his loan spell at Kilmarnock, but now has a World Cup to look forward to, as he looks perfect to fill a gaping hole in the squad.
Does Rangers ace Curtis deserve a World Cup spot?
It says everything you need to know about the winger that the Killie faithful have fallen in love with him throughout his loan spell.
He has been playing like a player beyond his years, with confidence flowing through his performances right until the final day of the campaign.
He helped McCann’s side avoid relegation with his attacking impact, and that certainly has to count for something moving into the summer.

It has to be said that he has gotten lucky with the lack of other winger options available to Clarke, but it’s an opportunity that has now fallen his way.
Curtis needs to take it with both hands and prove to any sceptics why he deserves to feature at the World Cup for Scotland.
