Rangers’ worst players 2025-26 – what the statistics say as new recruits struggle
Rangers‘ season came to an end with a 5-2 win against Falkirk on Saturday, bringing their run of four successive defeats to an end.
Just over a month ago, Danny Rohl’s side carried title ambitions after a fantastic turnaround under the German.
However, after an impressive run heading into the split, the Gers failed to replicate this form, with losses against Motherwell, Hearts, Celtic and Hibs.
As a result, the 2025-26 season is not exactly one to remember.
Heading into the summer, Ibrox News takes a look at the data to pick out the club’s worst performers this season.

Jayden Meghoma tops list of worst Rangers performers
On loan from Brentford, it has not been the best of seasons for left back Jayden Meghoma.
With Tuur Rommens impressing since his January arrival, Meghoma found himself out of the side, while he failed to take the chance during the Belgian’s spell out on the sidelines.

And based on the data from Sofascore, the full-back has been the worst Rangers performer this season – out of players who made at least 50 per cent of the possible appearances.
With an average rating of 6.65, Meghoma as struggled to make a mark at Ibrox, though, he was able to chip in with a goal and four assists across 2,095 league minutes.
However, the 19-year-old will return to Brentford having failed to establish himself in Glasgow across a rather disappointing loan spell.
What else do the stats say as Rangers players ranked?
Alongside Meghoma, Bojan Miovski and Mohamed Diomande sit at the bottom of the list.
Miovski has shown signs of improvement this term, though he has been unable to claim a regular spot in the starting XI, despite a strong run heading into the split.
With seven goals and one assist across 1,332 league minutes, the Macedonian carries an average rating of 6.69.
Diomande struggled for Rangers this season and sits close with a rating of 6.70, despite a much better performance against Falkirk on Saturday.
The Ivorian made 31 appearances across the campaign, starting 20 times, though he failed to make too much of an impact as Rangers missed out on their chance to challenge for the title.
In terms of contributions though, Diomande did provide, with a goal and four assists across 1,724 Scottish Premiership minutes.
Max Aarons (6.78) and Nasser Djiga (6.90) round off the list of five worst-performing players statistically speaking.
