Rangers youngster Paul Nsio refuses to rule out loan return to Raith Rovers
Rangers academy sensation Paul Nsio has opened the door to a return to Raith Rovers.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a profitable spell with the Rovers, featuring 32 times across all competitions and notching three goals.
Those numbers suggest that he needs another season away from Ibrox to hone his craft, before coming back to Govan.
However, Danny Rohl could decide to keep a close eye on him, and he could remain in G51 for next season, either with the youth ranks or as part of the senior set-up.
Ultimately, Nsio’s future will come down to Rangers, and whether they feel he will be better suited staying put or going on another loan.

What did Nsio say on his Rangers future?
Barry Ferguson has touted Nsio for a loan with Kilmarnock, but he is keen to stay with the Stark’s Park side beyond the end of the season.
He refused to rule out a return to the Fife outfit if the Gers decide that he needs more experience, revealing that he is keen on a comeback.

Speaking to Courier Sport, he said: “I’ve had so many questions about that, you know, it really depends. It depends on my agent, and it depends on Rangers.
“If I was to come back, I’d love to come back. The fanbase, the people around the club, they’re really positive and, you know, this club has an ambition to go to the top.
“It’s a thing where we’ll have to see in the transfer window. But if I want a little bit more men’s football, then I would happily come back to Raith Rovers.”
Why Raith return may be best move for Nsio
Raith want the Light Blues youngster back for another season, which has been made very clear by manager Dougie Imrie.
Speaking earlier this month, the former Hamilton Academical star said:
Whether that materialises remains to be seen, but it is probably for the best, given Nsio’s numbers in the Championship.
He averaged 0.4 shots per game and just 0.2 key passes with a goal every 802 minutes, per Sofascore, which is not enough to earn a place in Rohl’s squad at Auchenhowie.
| Nsio’s stats for Raith | Championship |
| Matches | 23 |
| Shots per game | 0.4 |
| Key passes | 0.2 |
| Goals | 2 |
| Goals per minute | 802 |
Another campaign in the Championship, in a surrounding that is already familiar to him, may well be the best option for the Gers, and allow the youngster to kick on and produce numbers that make the Bears hierarchy take note.
A loan to the lower echelons of the Scottish Premiership may be too soon, and he would likely struggle to have the required impact at that level.
It is a difficult decision for the Ibrox side, and one that they must get right, to serve the player’s development and make sure he is ready when his time comes in G51.
