Andreas Skov Olsen labelled an ‘absolute passenger’ for Hearts display as Rangers future clear
Andreas Skov Olsen left Keith Jackson baffled at why he was ever in the Rangers starting eleven to face Hearts on Monday.
The Dane has been a divisive figure at Ibrox in the short amount of time he’s been with the Light Blues, with concerns at an all-time high.
Danny Rohl‘s starting eleven at Tynecastle raised some eyebrows, particularly the decision to include Skov Olsen.
The on-loan Wolfsburg winger was taken off with just over 20 minutes left in the game, before Hearts scored their second to win, and boost their own hopes of winning the Scottish Premiership.
Skov Olsen has frustrated Rangers fans, and you wouldn’t need to ask Jackson twice over whether the Bears should trigger his £8.6million buy option this summer.

Keith Jackson exposes ‘sleeping’ Andreas Skov Olsen
There have already been doubts about Skov Olsen’s ability, despite the hype that followed the winger to Glasgow in the winter window.
The technical ability is there, but what’s needed at this stage of the season is some fight, which some would suggest that the forward lacks.

His start against Hearts was unexpected, especially considering he was benched and didn’t play a minute in the Bears’ previous two games.
While speaking on Daily Record’s Hotline Live, Jackson was quick to single out the 26-year-old, suggesting that he was at fault for Hearts’ equaliser.
Jackson said: “You think Tavernier is standing there not doing much, but worse than his reaction was Skov Olsen’s. Someone would need to talk me through the thought process of having him in the Rangers starting 11.
“He’s never had a game where he’s taken it by the scruff of the neck, absolute passenger, and he was caught sleeping for the goal.”

It is true that Skov Olsen has not had the desired effect for Gers in front of the goal, so when he’s not doing that, other areas of his game will come under the microscope.
Rangers could still buy Skov Olsen, just not through his buy option
Rohl clearly likes Olsen, hence his decision to start him in what was the most important game of Rangers’ season.
Right now, it seems to hard to figure out why there was so much hype around the winger, who looks nothing like an £8.6m-rated player.
However, this isn’t good news for his parent club Wolfsburg, as the Bundesliga outfit didn’t think he was good enough for them either.
If Rohl is still in charge this summer, he could ask the 49ers to push on and secure Skov Olsen’s signature on a permanent basis.
Wolfsburg may be inclined to offload the player, whose market value has most likely only plummeted further in the past four months, with potential for a cut-price deal there.
