Rangers seemingly have no place for Nedim Bajrami moving forward.

With the chances of winning their first Scottish Premiership title since the exit of Steven Gerrard still on the cards, Danny Rohl has certainly found his core starting 11.

The likes of Mikey Moore, Nico Raskin and Youssef Chermiti have all but cemented their place in Rohl’s plans, though the same cannot be said for Bajrami.

He’s been afforded just three starts in the league this season, with a total of 320 minutes played in the Scottish top flight.

And with Rangers set for another big recruitment push this summer, he may well be sacrificed.

Bajrami has made an appearance in just one of Rangers’ last four league encounters, with just 11 minutes played.

Granted, the Albania international grabbed an assist in his short cameo, though that has only earned him one appearance since.

His last league start for the Gers was back in December, when he played the full 90 in a 2-2 draw with Dundee United.

It was his goal that earned Rangers a point in the 98th minute, which is one of just two goals he has managed this season across all competitions.

Bajrami’s lack of gametime since then speaks volumes about where Rohl sees him in his plans moving forward, with a future at Ibrox looking remarkably bleak.

What is Bajrami’s contract situation?

The 27-year-old will have two years left on his contract with the Light Blues come the end of the season, meaning they should be well placed to get a fee for his exit, should that be the route taken.

Bajrami has been mooted for an exit from Ibrox in the past, and those rumours will only grow stronger with the lack of minutes he is getting.

Should Rangers opt to part ways with him, it’s unlikely they would get a fee worth shouting home about, though it would free up some much-needed space in the wage department.
