Danny Rohl amazes with Ryan Naderi reveal at Rangers, Barry Ferguson in awe

Danny Rohl has compared Ryan Naderi to Bayern Munich icon Thomas Muller at Rangers.

The German manager claimed that the former Hansa Rostock striker is a little bit like the Vancouver Whitecaps forward when he sees him in training.

Former Celtic midfielder Peter Grant was amazed to hear the former Sheffield Wednesday boss seemingly compare Naderi with the Germany World Cup winner.

Barry Ferguson is also in awe of the 22-year-old centre-forward’s attributes and attitude, with the Glaswegian outfit signing him from the third tier of German football for £4.7million.

Ryan Naderi setback to force Danny Rohl change at Rangers

Naderi is a doubt for Rangers against Livingston, with the striker picking up a minor knock and missing training on 20 February.

The German attacker has made an immediate impact at Ibrox, and his partnership with Youssef Chermiti up front worked wonders in the 4-2 win against Hearts.

It’s no wonder Rohl highly regards the former Hansa Rostock star, and fans will be hoping to see how he gets along in G51 in the coming months.

Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show on 20 February, Grant said, “What an accolade that is. Muller, wow. One of the best, there’s no doubt about that. If he’s anything like him, you’ve got a hell of a player on your hand.”

Ferguson responded, “I like big Naderi. He’s come from the third tier of German football. I like what I see. He’s different to what Rangers have. I love his attitude. It looks to me he’s desperate to be at Rangers.”

Against Livi at Almondvale Stadium on 22 February, the former Sheffield Wednesday boss will surely go with Chermiti up front, but it remains to be seen who he will be paired up with.

Bojan Miovski future set after Ryan Naderi transfer

Bojan Miovski has struggled for game time in recent weeks, with the former Girona striker failing to live up to expectations.

Rangers got the North Macedonia international back to Scotland after his impressive displays at Aberdeen got him a move to LaLiga.

The 26-year-old seems to now be the third choice number nine under Rohl, with Chermiti and Naderi ahead of him in the pecking order.

If Miovski’s prospects don’t improve in Govan before the end of the season, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him angling for another move in the summer.
