Alan Hutton picks out Rangers star who was ‘tied down’ by Russell Martin finally starting to shine
Alan Hutton can already see improvements under Danny Rohl at Rangers.
Rohl has had a mixed start at Rangers after being appointed in a well-documented, lengthy managerial search at Ibrox.
Things are looking up for the Govan club in the Scottish Premiership, in particular, after Rangers secured a 3-0 win over Dundee last time out.
The victory made it three wins from three league games, a needed record after Rangers fell to a 2-0 defeat against Roma in the Europa League.
It hasn’t been the dream start for Rohl in G51, but Hutton has already been left impressed by what he’s seen in terms of improvement.

Mikey Moore hampered by Russell Martin at Rangers
Russell Martin came in as head coach over the summer and quickly became a figure of frustration and annoyance for supporters.
After a shocking start to life with the Gers, Martin was rightly sacked by Rangers and eventually replaced by the ex-Sheffield Wednesday boss.
The German has had a brighter start to life in Govan and has already built up a positive relationship with fans.
That has been easier due to a run of positive league results, with Mikey Moore capturing the headlines with his recent performances.
Hutton has liked what he’s seen from the Tottenham loanee and believes he has been re-energised after the departure of Martin.
Speaking via the Scottish Football Social Club on 10 November, the former Light Blues defender suggested Rohl is helping the teen thrive.
He said: “I prefer when they go back to a back four. I think it frees up the forward-thinking players. Moore has come into his own in recent weeks, we’ve seen him with an energy to get around the pitch.
“Sometimes these guys need to play with freedom, have that ability to come off the line, go in, link up play and make things happen. I think when you do that, you see the best of them.
“Whether under Russell Martin, he was tied down, a little bit, to play a certain way that didn’t suit him, but obviously, Danny Rohl coming in now, it’s better for him.“
Moore was star of the show vs Dundee
There were mainly negative reviews coming in for the Englishman throughout his early spell in G51 after his switch from Spurs.
Rangers fans didn’t like the idea of signing such a young player on loan, preferring instead to back their own talent to thrive in the first-team squad.
The Bears are now likely to be eating their words as Moore looks to be a shrewd signing after his impact against Dundee.
He has looked much-improved in recent weeks, and the winger doesn’t look like stopping under the tutelage of Rohl at Ibrox.
