Nicolas Raskin transfer approved as Rangers talks to start for January exit
Rangers may be sweating over Nicolas Raskin despite sacking Russell Martin recently.
Raskin and Martin seemed to have a falling out in the summer, leading to speculation of the Belgium international’s departure from the Gers.
The Scottish manager had the full backing of the Light Blues’ hierarchy in the previous transfer window, but his tenure in G51 ended up being a massive failure.
Martin lasted just 123 days at Ibrox, and hopefully, the new manager will be able to get the best out of the current squad, but the Glaswegian outfit should look to keep their key players until the end of the season.

Sergen Yalcin wants Rangers star Nicolas Raskin at Besiktas
Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin has given his approval to sign Raskin in January, according to Yeni Acik.
The news outlet reported on 10 October that the Super Lig outfit have started efforts to get the 24-year-old from Ibrox in the coming months and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them start talks sooner rather than later.
Steven Gerrard is currently the frontrunner to replace Martin, and the Liverpool icon will surely want the Belgian national to remain in G51.
The Englishman was able to end the 10-year wait for a league title at the Glaswegian outfit, and supporters will hope he can do the same this season.

Hearts are currently leading the William Hill Premiership as the Old Firm teams have started the campaign on the back foot.
While the Gers are 11 points behind Derek McInnes’ team, there’s still a long way to go in the season, and Gerrard will certainly fancy the challenge.
Andrew Cavenagh to have Nicolas Raskin dilemma at Ibrox
Raskin is one of the most valuable assets at Ibrox, but the Light Blues undoubtedly know they can’t keep him forever.
The Belgium international’s current contract at Rangers expires in 2027, and they won’t want to lose him for free.

Unless the midfielder signs a new contract at the Gers, it would make sense to cash in on him in the coming months.
Next summer, with just a year remaining on Raskin’s contract, his value at the Glaswegian outfit will arguably not be at its peak, and Andrew Cavenagh may have a tough decision to make if a decent offer for the Belgian ace arrives in January.
