A loss to Sturm Graz in the Europa League was the latest in a string of a bad results, and fans are turning on the club hierarchy who keep backing Martin.

This has been one of the worst starts to a season in Rangers history, and there are no signs that things are about to improve.

Kevin Thelwell confronted by angry Rangers fans

Kevin Thelwell was confronted by angry Rangers fans after the Sturm Graz defeat, who demanded change after the woeful start to the season under Martin.

Patrick Stewart was also present during this incident, as two fans made their feelings known to the pair and said what every Rangers fan is thinking.

Thelwell appeared more prepared to listen than Stewart, with footage of the encounter circulating on social media.

Troy Deeney compares Russell Martin to Graham Potter

Former Premier League striker Troy Deeney has compared Martin to Graham Potter, who was recently sacked by West Ham.

Deeney has claimed that in the same way Potter was clearly a bad fit for West Ham, Martin is a bad fit for Rangers, and parting with him would be best for all parties.

The Rangers board appear to be backing Martin for now, while Potter was dismissed and replaced with Nuno Espirito Santo.

This comes after back to back defeats and a humiliation in the Champions League, and Rangers have some tough games left to play.

It is predicted that Rangers will finish in 34th place out of 36 teams, accumulating just six points in the process.

Alan Hutton questions Robbie Thelwell appointment

Former Rangers star Alan Hutton has now questioned the appointment of Robbie Thelwell as a new head of recruitment.

The appointment was made by Kevin Thelwell, Robbie's father, and has caused fan fury as accusations of 'jobs for the boys' grow.

Hutton claimed that he did not fully understand the decision, and that Robbie will now be put under huge pressure as a result.
