Tory MP shares immediate Russell Martin sack verdict after Rangers vs Celtic – ‘Off you pop’
Russell Martin has endured a torrid start to life as Rangers manager, with sack talk already doing the rounds.
Rangers drew 0-0 with arch rivals Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Sunday, with neither side impressing in a drab affair at Ibrox.
Neil Lennon said the Scottish Premiership clash was so poor that three minutes of added time was three minutes too many.
Now, a Tory MP has criticised Martin after their fourth successive league draw, calling for him to leave Ibrox immediately.

Murdo Fraser calls for Russell Martin to leave Rangers
Sir Alex Ferguson was spotted at Ibrox amid news that he is set for an ambassador role with the Glasgow outfit.
However, the legendary manager was starved of a spectacle after the Old Firm sides played out an underwhelming draw.
Martin enjoyed a terrific start in the Champions League, but was dumped out by Club Brugge after a shocking 9-1 aggregate defeat at the final hurdle.
In the league, the Gers have struggled to find any kind of form at all, having drawn all four of their Scottish Premiership matches.
Now, Fraser, MSP for the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party, has aimed a dig at Martin via his X account on 31 August.
He said: “Off you pop, Russell Martin.”

Russell Martin faces crunch run of games in Scottish Premiership
While it is only early days into the 39-year-old’s tenure, there has already been talk of the sack.
The former Southampton manager started with three favourable league matches, but only managed three points.
Of course, recording a draw against Celtic is not a bad result, but it means that Martin is yet to win a league game.
Now, the Gers’ boss faces two daunting battles with Hibernian and Hearts after the international break.
- Hearts have 10 points from four matches
- Hibs are also unbeaten with a win and two draws
- The Bears will play against both Edinburgh sides at Ibrox
The Edinburgh clubs have been tipped to do well this season and are likely to be two of the closest challengers to the Glasgow clubs.
Both have started the season strongly and will be confident of leaving Ibrox with at least a point.
Indeed, if Martin is unable to claim many points from the two clubs, then his position will become even more tentative.
