Rangers are no doubt in a crisis going into the final days of the transfer window.

Russell Martin is already under heavy pressure at Ibrox, with the Old Firm derby closing in on Sunday.

Nevertheless, the 39-year-old is still keen to bring in additional faces, with Bojan Miovski closing in on a move to Rangers.

However, departures could also occur, with Nicolas Raskin’s future uncertain at Rangers going into the final days of the window.

Nicolas Raskin is not fully committed to Rangers

Martin has not been afraid to sell many of the stars from the 2024/25 campaign, with Hamza Igamane recently departing Rangers for Lille on Friday.

Raskin has also been linked away from Rangers, with numerous Premier League sides reportedly interested in the midfielder.

Now, according to TEAMTALK on 29 August, Wolves, West Ham and Burnley are all keen on securing his services.

  • Raskin joined Rangers from Standard Liege in 2023
  • The midfielder was one of the Gers' best players last season
  • Raskin is now a Belgium international, winning four caps in 2025

Rangers had stood firm throughout the transfer window, unwilling to part with a player integral to their domestic and European ambitions.

However, the situation has now reportedly taken a turn, with Martin omitting Raskin from the squad due to his apparent lack of full commitment amid transfer talks.

The report then goes on to say Rangers could demand a fee upwards of £15-20million due to the length of his contract and the sell-on clause owed to Standard Liege.

Rangers shouldn’t think twice about selling Nicolas Raskin

If a bid does come in for Raskin in the coming days, Rangers shouldn’t think twice.

No matter what fans think of Martin, the players should a portion of the blame as well for the recent results.

Raskin was rightly dropped against Viktoria Plzen and has been nowhere near his best.

If a £20m offer comes in, it would be great business, and could help to bring in four quality players who want to be at Ibrox.

Hopefully, an offer will be made sooner rather than later to give the Gers time to bring in adequate replacements.
