Rangers attacker Ross McCausland has been linked with an Ibrox exit this summer.

Having played 25 games in all competitions last season, the Northern Ireland international has put himself on the radar of clubs all over the globe.

The 23-year-old has not been a consistent performer for Gers as he scored just three times in the 2024/25 campaign and provided one assist.

Ross McCausland wanted by two MLS clubs and Aris Limassol

According to the Daily Record (19 July), McCausland is wanted by two clubs in Major League Soccer.

He's also wanted by the Cypriot side Aris Limassol on loan, who have a strong connection with the Ibrox outfit.

That is because Connor Goldson and Leon Balogun both left Gers to join Aris.

They want to bolster their wide options and the Northern Irish winger is understood to be their prime target.

Names of the two American sides have not been revealed but there is genuine interest in securing his services.

Rangers must capitalise on the interest in McCausland and try to sell him

With growing interest in McCausland, Rangers should capitalise on this opportunity to spark a bidding war and cash in on the Northern Ireland international.

Despite his potential for further growth, McCausland’s inconsistent 2024/25 season suggests he may not be integral to Gers’ immediate first-team plans.

His contract at Ibrox runs until 2027 and they may look to demand a substantial fee.

Selling him could fund signings to bolster Russell Martin’s squad, particularly in attack and midfield, to challenge Celtic and improve European performances.

Prioritising first-team strength over retaining a young player yet to fully deliver aligns with Rangers’ need to rebuild and compete now.
