Coady's career.

Coady's Leicester got relegated from the Premier League and he's not keen on playing in England's second tier next season.

The 32-year-old fancies a move to Ibrox and despite Fernandez's arrival, he could still move to Scotland this summer.

Rangers must now launch a bid for Coady

Rangers should formalise their interest in Coady now to bolster their defence ahead of the 2025/26 season, particularly with their Champions League qualifier against Panathinaikos looming.

The 32-year-old centre-back’s experience, leadership, and 400+ appearances in England’s leagues make him an ideal fit for Martin’s squad rebuild at Ibrox.

With Leicester City relegated to the Championship and facing financial pressures, they are open to selling Coady, who is in the final year of his contract.

His wages and reduced role last season make him a sellable asset.

A cut-price deal, likely around £1.5million or covering his remaining contract value, is expected, as Leicester aim to cut their wage bill.

Acting swiftly ensures the Englishman integrates during pre-season, enhancing Rangers’ defensive stability and competitiveness in domestic and European campaigns.
