‘Rangers bad news emerges’ as Celtic set for multi-million cash windfall
Rangers will no doubt have ambitions to win the Scottish Premiership this season.
Celtic have dominated football in the country for years and are now level with the Gers for top-flight titles.
The arrival of Russell Martin and the 49ers has renewed hope that Rangers can finally knock their Old Firm rivals off their perch.
However, Celtic could now gain another advantage over the Ibrox club before the season has even begun.

Celtic set for multi-million pound income thanks to Matt O’Riley sell-on fee
Matt O’Riley was a key figure at Celtic Park for multiple years as he helped the Glaswegian club dominate the Scottish Premiership.
After moving to Brighton last summer, he has struggled for fitness and only completed a 90-minute game once.
Now, according to the Daily Record (19 June), the Dane could be on the move again with Roma, Atalanta and Napoli interested in the midfielder.

The latter club has already seen a £25.6 million offer rejected for the 24-year-old. However, it is claimed that Brighton are prepared to “entertain offers” for O’Riley.
If he is sold, Celtic are set to net millions, with the Old Firm side having a 10 per cent sell-on clause.
This would have netted Brendan Rodgers’ side £2.5m if the last offer had been accepted.
Given the interest in the midfielder, move bids are likely, which could see this figure climb.
This would be a massive disadvantage for Rangers given their title ambitions.
An extra £2.5m alone could help Celtic bring in a quality player this summer who could prove to be the difference.
Given the fee is likely to rise further, Rangers may have to spend even more if they are to keep up with their Old Firm rivals.

Rangers may struggle to de-throne Celtic this season
Unfortunately for the Ibrox faithful, this season might be too early to see Rangers lift the title once again.
The Gers already have to close a 15-point gap, with Celtic bound to strengthen this summer.
This, combined with the upheaval Rangers have already undergone with the takeover and the a new manager, will make it a big ask.
The Ibrox faithful must see the upcoming campaign as a transition period, with the 2026/27 season likely to provide more of a title challenge.
