Rangers must make Davide Ancelotti hire reality now in decisive hours
Rangers could look to accelerate the appointment of Davide Ancelotti, with the list of interested clubs appearing to grow rapidly.
The Gers have been on the hunt for a manager to replace interim coach Barry Ferguson and may have found their man in the Italian.
Ancelotti, 35, is the son of Carlo Ancelotti and has been working under his father at Real Madrid.
But as his father readies to depart from the Madrid club in the coming weeks, Ancelotti is set on a new challenge, and the Light Blues seem ready to pounce, as the likes of Como watch on.

Ancelotti appointment enters decisive hours
While Como have set their sights on the Italian, he believes the project at Rangers is a better fit.
The Gers are coming off another difficult season, now 17 points behind rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership and will be looking to turn things around this summer after the new takeover.
Club | MP | W | D | L | Pts |
Celtic | 36 | 28 | 4 | 4 | 88 |
Rangers | 36 | 21 | 8 | 7 | 71 |
According to Spanish outlet Marca (12 May), the next few hours will be decisive for Ancelotti and his next appointment, possibly Rangers.
The 35-year-old is hot property this summer, and while he prefers a move to the Scottish club, he has admirers at Como, RB Leipzig and Sevilla.
It is reported that the Gers must act fast and make a reality of what has been put on the table during contract negotiations.

Rangers should take a chance on Ancelotti
While the Italian coach is young, the Gers must do what they can to see him at Ibrox next season.
Despite his age, he has had stints at Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton and of course, Madrid, learning from the very best.
Additionally, by working alongside his father, Ancelotti has had access to one of the most decorated managers of all time and arguably Los Blancos’ most successful coach.
As he has coached some of Europe’s greatest, he knows what it takes to win at the highest level and could be the man to help the Gers back on track.
While this is a huge gamble, there is no available coach in world football who would not come with reservations.
The Gers have one Scottish Premiership to their name since 2012, and if a step into the unknown will change their fortunes, then that is what will have to be done.
