Kris Boyd has been shocked by Rangers' "terrible" form away from Ibrox as Philippe Clement continues to struggle.

The Gers are already 16 points behind their Old Firm rivals, Celtic, ahead of their clash against Aberdeen on Wednesday 15 January, a game which promises plenty of drama.

With the match being held at Ibrox, the Light Blues should not face too much of an issue, with most of Clement's problems coming away from home in the Scottish Premiership.

Speaking live via Sky Sports News [15 January, 10:28am], Boyd said: "Going into the season, everyone expects the team that comes out on top in the Old Firm to win the league, but it's not like that this season.

"Rangers have been terrible away from home. They can close the gap again tonight but it's too much."

Kris Boyd calls out Rangers after horrendous away form

In terms of away form in the Scottish Premiership, the Ger drop down to third in the table, with Dundee United rising above them, leaving Clement's side 16 points behind the Hoops.

Of course, that is the same number of points the Light Blues are behind first place in the overall table, a form which continues to put the Belgian manager under crushing pressure at Ibrox.

Patrick Stewart is being urged to sack the manager immediately, something the new CEO was expected to do upon being appointed in November, yet Clement remains in Glasgow.

The Union Bears are likely to continue their protests against the boardroom, at least until Clement is sacked from his role at Ibrox, but this is just the first of many issues to address.

Player-trading models, financial problems, and lack of communication from the boardroom are all issues that need addressing by the new CEO and he just needs to be open with the supporters.
