Keith Jackson has been blown away by the way in which Rangers have turned things around at Ibrox in recent weeks.

Assessing the Gers' recent run of form, the journalist admitted that he thought Philippe Clement's side were "rotten" and boring to watch as recently as three weeks ago.

However, he went on to admit that the Light Blues' turnaround has been so "astonishing" that the quickness of it has been weird.

"This is weird and you've seen weird examples, this is one of the strangest ones because they were rotten", Jackson said on Daily Record's Hotline live on 23 December.

"Now all of a sudden you actually quite enjoy watching Rangers because they're coming out from all angles here and there's variety in everything they do going forward.

"They are actually a good watch, they are dull than watching paint up until three, four weeks ago. It's an astonishing turnaround."

Philippe Clement a man on mission as Rangers boss at Ibrox

Jackson is right. It was not long ago that there were shouts for Clement to be sacked as the Rangers boss.

The Belgian tactician hung on to his job in Glasgow due to the absence of a permanent chairman and a CEO, but is slowly starting to prove his doubters wrong.

Clement's side have been unbeaten in their last seven games across all competitions, with the penalty shootout defeat against Celtic in the Scottish League Cup final the only blip.

The way in which they earned those results also deserves a mention as they scored 19 goals while conceding just five times in those games.

The Light Blues have now reduced the gap with Celtic at the top of the Premiership table to nine points.

Although that remains a significant difference, Clement and co can dream of causing a major upset, especially with Brendan Rodgers' side travelling to Ibrox on next Thursday, 2 January.
