Rangers cannot afford to lose star man Hamza Igamane amid interest from Premier League Everton.

The Moroccan forward has five goals in his last six matches and has attracted interest from England's top flight as a result.

TBR Football reported on 17 December that the Blues are monitoring the Gers attacker who only moved to Ibrox last summer for a fee of £1.7 million from FAR Rabat.

Philippe Clement's side must do everything they can to keep the 22-year-old at the club for as long as they possibly can.

Igamane is too good to lose for Rangers

The Moroccan represents a rare bit of good business from the Ibrox club in recent years.

It was revealed at the Gers AGM on 5 December that the Light Blues made just £810,000 from the departures of Sam Lammers, Connor Goldson, Todd Cantwell, Scott Wright and Robby McCrorie.

Igamane cannot be allowed to leave in January, it would be another piece of the bad business that has become so familiar with the club in recent times.

The fee may be substantial and allow Clement to rebuild his squad in the transfer market and salvage their season but it would be the wrong decision to sell.

Despite a potential bidding war with West Ham, Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham and Newcastle United also understood to be interested in his services, the Light Blues should resist the temptation if they want to catch up with Celtic.

Clement has found a long-term replacement for Cyriel Dessers, he cannot let him leave so soon after his arrival in Glasgow.

If anything, if the club are to catch up with Celtic, they need to find more gems like Igamane not get rid of them.
