Rangers can now prepare Lawrence Shankland bid after new twist

Rangers can prepare a January transfer offer for Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland who's running down his contract at Tynecastle.

Edinburgh News reported on 19 November that the SPFL club are prepared to allow the Scotland international to leave on a free transfer.

However, if they have a chance to make some money from his exit, they would most certainly consider it.

Lawrence Shankland has been on the radar of Rangers for a while

The 29-year-old was a man in demand over the last summer with Gers in particular seeming to be the most keen on his services. [HITC]

They appeared to extensively pursue his services, but failed to bring the striker to Ibrox.

Instead, they settled for Hamza Igamane who's still to get going in a new country after joining from AS FAR.

If Gers retain an interest in Shankland, with Hearts preparing for his exit, they may accept a low-ball offer in the January transfer window.

After two seasons of scoring 24 league goals per campaign, Shankland has struggled this time around, finding the back of the net just once in 13 games.

Maybe a change of scenery would do him wonders and would also be a boost for Gers who have struggled this season.

Shankland has proven over the last 24 months that he can be a game changer in Scotland and this might tempt the decision makers at Ibrox to make a move for him.
