Rangers may need to find a replacement for Robin Propper after a worrying trend has emerged, according to Dr Rajpal Brar

The injury expert claims that his substitution record of being subbed off five times in 12 games as a centre-back is far from ideal.

However, he has not been able to pinpoint it as to what exactly the problem is with the 31-year-old.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: "The substitution record of being off five times in 12 matches as a centre-back certainly doesn’t inspire confidence but it’s difficult for me to say if that’s a fitness issue or if that’s a lack of quality on his part.

"A possible solution is clearly to find some reliable depth behind him or replace him because this trend doesn’t seem to be doing the club any good and is worrying."

Robin Propper has been struggling since his move to Rangers

Propper has struggled since his move to Ibrox and in recent games, Philippe Clement has preferred to leave him on the bench.

It could be down to his fitness, form or just adaptability issues as he was used to a different style of football.

It remains to be seen how he adapts in the coming months and whether or not Clement plays him regularly.
