Rangers have appointed Graham Horsman as their new secretary after the termination of James Taylor, as confirmed on Companies House.

The confirmation of the change behind the scenes was published on 8 November on the executive agency's website, and Horsman is now set to take over duties as secretary, having joined the Gers in January as football legal counsel.

Taylor was appointed in August last year as the chief financial officer for the Light Blues.

Rangers boardroom mess affecting on-pitch results

Rangers have been without a permanent chairman and CEO for quite some time after the departures of John Bennett and James Bisgrove.

Creag Robertson also recently left his role as the director of football operations, which has left a gaping hole in the hierarchy of the Bears.

John Gilligan is the interim chairman at the moment, but looking at how things have unravelled for Rangers over the last few months, it's no surprise to see supporters being frustrated.

Philippe Clement's continuation in the dugout is one of the points of contention between some fans and the directors, with the club seemingly backing the manager despite the poor run of results.

The Ibrox faithful wanted the Belgian gone after the 1-0 defeat at the hand of Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on 20 October, but that hasn't been the case, and one of the reasons could be the lack of leadership at the top.

Without a proper structure in place, the Light Blues will arguably find it challenging to turn things around on the pitch, and it remains to be seen whether fans will see more backroom shuffles in the coming future to bring stability back to the club.
