Rangers attacker Rabbi Matondo may be ahead of his schedule with his return from a hamstring injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that he could return right after the international break as well as he recently shared an image on Instagram on 7 October.

Matondo has been out of action for Gers since the 3-0 defeat in the Old Firm derby against Celtic on 1 September.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

"His recent Instagram post in which he’s written ‘Soon’ could mean that he’s ahead of schedule from his hamstring setback but it also depends on what exactly he’s doing on the pitch and more importantly, how his body responds to it.

"The focus over the break will be to continue with his methodical ramp up.

"He could be back right after the break as well."

Rabbi Matondo may be back sooner than expected for Rangers

Initially, it seemed that the Wales international would be out of action until the first week of November.

However him potentially returning after the international break, even if it may be for a few minutes off the bench, would undoubtedly be a huge boost for Philippe Clement.

The 24-year-old has scored two goals and two assists in four league games this season and would offer another option out wide to the Belgian.
