Rangers football operations director Creag Robertson is set to leave Ibrox before Christmas, according to the Daily Record.

The outlet reported on 8 October that the former Falkirk executive is the latest high profile exit from the Gers' hierarchy.

This will leave interim chairman John Gilligan with the need to fill another job role as Robertson wants to leave before Christmas to pursue "new opportunities" away from Ibrox.

Rangers to lose Creag Robertson from Ibrox hierarchy

Just as things look a bit better and settled on the pitch for the Light Blues, it continues to get ugly on a board level.

Despite losing 4-1 against Lyon, there has been a slight air of positivity around Philippe Clement's side in recent weeks.

This has come after a more positive run in the Scottish Premiership and a 2-0 win against Malmo in the Europa League to kick off their campaign.

Now attention has turned to yet another off-the-pitch matter as another job role has become vacant and left for Gilligan to deal with.

After taking over as an interim from the departing John Bennett, the lifelong Rangers supporter is having to put out plenty of fires at a boardroom level.

He will be hoping that he can fill these roles in the near future and add some stability to the club which has been crying out since John Bisgrove departed.
