Vaclav Cerny was spotted limping following a stellar performance in Rangers' 2-0 win over St Johnstone on Sunday (6 October).

The 26-year-old winger scored twice as the Gers claimed all three points from their clash at Ibrox, taking an important victory into the international window.

It was not a comfortable victory for Philippe Clement's men, especially after newly introduced Ianis Hagi was shown a straight red card, but Cerny's heroics helped the Gers claim a vital win.

Writing via BBC Sport, Nick McPheat said: "I'm obviously not a physio, but Vaclav Cerny looks like he's limping a bit as he comes back onto the pitch to shake hands with the opposition...

"Hopefully, nothing to worry about for Philippe Clement."

Philippe Clement handed Vaclav Cerny concern after Rangers win v St Johnstone

While all clubs are heading into an international break, an injury to Cerny is the last thing the player and Clement needed at Ibrox.

The Czechia international looks to have rediscovered his spark on the pitch, especially after his dreadful miss against Lyon in the 4-1 Europa League hammering, using his trademark style.

He cut in from the right-hand side on both occasions, with his first goal emulating that of the one he scored against Motherwell, and the second being taken well with his right foot.

The result should have been much more comfortable, with Cyriel Dessers missing a simple chance early in the first half, and not being given the chance to amend his errors against an attacking Saints side.

Rangers' injury concerns are building for Philippe Clement

Clement already has enough injuries to worry about, with Ridvan Yilmaz, Tom Lawrence, Rabbi Matondo, Danilo and Oscar Cortes all sidelined, so the hope is that Cerny's injury is not too serious.

With the international break on the horizon, he will be given plenty of time to rest up before the squad reunites at Ibrox.
