Scott Allan has been left gushing over Tom Lawrence after his winning goal for Rangers against Hibs on 29 September.

The Wales international, in a moment of brilliance, opened the scoring in the 34th minute at Ibrox, much to the delight of the home fans.

It turned out to be the only goal in the game and after a cagey second half, Gers managed to keep a clean sheet and pick up the three points.

Allan told BBC Sportsound on 29 September at 12:39pm: "Incredible finish. We were right behind it and it looked like it went in slow-motion.

"You're getting frustrated, not creating the chances - one moment of quality is what you need."

Tom Lawrence needs to keep up the good performances for Rangers

Philippe Clement will undoubtedly be thrilled with Lawrence's performances this season, especially after his pivotal goal against Hibs.

Last season, the 30-year-old struggled to make an impact, often criticised for his inconsistency and inability to translate potential into consistent goal contributions.

He only managed to score two goals and provide three assists in 23 league appearances and was linked with a summer exit.

However, his recent displays this season show that he's almost like a player reborn, finding the back of the net on three occasions and providing an assist in six league games.

This turnaround could be attributed to Clement's management, possibly offering Lawrence a redefined role or the confidence he needed.

For the Ibrox faithful, who've witnessed Lawrence's underwhelming past, this resurgence is a breath of fresh air.
