Ianis Hagi's agent Giovanni Becali has admitted that he would spend his own money to help him leave Rangers if he's not part of Philippe Clement's plans.

The Romanian international spent last season on loan with Deportivo Alaves in Spain and while have called for him to be given a second chance in Glasgow, there is an expectation he will be sold [Chris Jack, 27 June].

Although Becali has previously mooted the possibility of another loan exit this summer [Fanatik, 27 June], he has now suggested he would be more than willing to help the attacking midfielder find a new team.

Speaking to the Romanian outlet Digi Sport (6 July) he said: "Yes, I'm going. I'm going with my wife. I would be more than happy to help him find a team.

"I would spend money from me and my brother to find something for Ianis. He has an impresario who is very good to me. He has a contract with Rangers and I think he will start training with them.

"I hope that the coach will continue to consider him (as part of the first team squad)."

Will Ianis Hagi exit Rangers amid new summer transfer update at Ibrox?

Hagi certainly divides the Rangers fanbase as while several supporters still don't understand why Michael Beale shipped him out on loan last season, there are many who think he doesn't have what it takes to perform in Glasgow.

The Romanian also has the issue of playing in one of the most overpopulated positions in Clement's squad as there are far too many attacking midfielders competing for a single place in the starting XI.

Rangers Philippe Clement
Philippe Clement has some big transfer calls to make at Rangers this summer.

While that competition may be reduced if the likes of Tom Lawrence, Kieran Dowell and even Todd Cantwell depart as some expect, but Hagi appears to be more likely to leave than any of those three players.

Nothing is yet set in stone and as Becali suggests, pre-season may hand the Romanian international a chance to impress Clement.

However, it would be a surprise to see Hagi lining up in a Rangers shirt at the start of the Premiership season.
