Rangers would take the money to sell Todd Cantwell this summer if offers were to arrive, according to The Sunday Mail.

The newspaper reported in its print edition (16 June, page 57), that the Gers will cash in on Cantwell, as well as Ben Davies and Tom Lawrence to increase the budget.

Cantwell made 44 appearances in all competitions during his first full season at Ibrox, including 30 in the Premiership, but a return of just seven goals could see him shown the door in the coming weeks [Michael Gannon].

Todd Cantwell to be sold by Rangers

Philippe Clement certainly isn't pulling any punches when it comes to his new-look Rangers squad next season, with Cantwell and Davies looking likely to be two of several more senior figures in line to depart Ibrox.

The Belgian has already allowed the release of veterans like John Lundstram and Borna Barisic and is pursuing much younger replacements in their positions, with Cantwell looking set to be one of the latest players sacrificed in the reshaping of the squad [Fanatik].

However, at 26, Cantwell is by no means an old player and still contributed towards the Gers' efforts on all fronts, thus moving him on could be a rash move on Clement's part.

Rangers have been linked with a host of attacking and wide options already this summer, with Oscar Cortes returning on loan and Yusuf Kabadayi's transfer seemingly imminent [The 4th Official].

But by saying goodbye to Cantwell, Clement would be losing a player who still has plenty to give at this level, and being arguably the only out-and-out number 10 in the current squad offers a unique style of play which could prove invaluable at the business end of next season.
