Rangers midfielder Todd Cantwell has been torn into by Andy Walker for a gesture following his "flukey" goal in the Gers' clash with Dundee.

Philippe Clement's side bounced back from their defeat to Celtic to win 5-2 at Ibrox on Tuesday (14 May) with Cantwell delivering a man-of-the-match display as he scored his sixth Premiership goal of the season.

Having found the net in the second half, the Englishman kissed his badge in front of the Ibrox crowd, much to the frustration of Sky Sports pundit Walker who slammed the midfielder for the action.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show (15 May, 5:30) he said: "I'm always wary of badge-kissers. Show me what you can do on the field of play over 90 minutes. That shows me how much you care and how much joy you want to bring to the supporters.

"Kissing the badge when the league has gone and you've scored a flukey goal, it was a bit much."

Will Todd Cantwell leave Rangers in the summer transfer window?

Cantwell has always been a divisive figure among both pundits and supporters and there is a feeling that he often doesn't do enough on the playing field to justify his antics off of it.

The former Norwich City man has previously been slammed by Chris Sutton for his anonymous displays in Old Firm matches and fans have been quick to notice when he has let a game pass him by without making an impact.

Tuesday night's win showed that when he is at his best, he can genuinely be one of the best players to watch north of the border with his excellent ability in possession and drive to work hard when he doesn't have the ball.

While some will take issue with his decision to kiss the badge following his goal, it was likely just done as a way to thank the supporters and show his commitment to the club ahead of the summer transfer window.
