Four Rangers players have their futures at Ibrox up in the air as the season end approaches, according to the Scottish Daily Mail.

The newspaper has reported in its print edition (27 April, back page) that Leon Balogun, Borna Barisic, Ryan Jack and Kemar Roofe could still earn extended contracts.

All four are out of contract at the end of this season, but could still earn new deals if they can contribute towards a strong end to the season.

Rangers transfer exodus may be on cards at Ibrox

Rangers could still complete a domestic treble this season, having defeated Hearts 2-0 to seal a place in the Scottish Cup final. There they'll meet Old Firm rivals Celtic, who they trail by three points at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

Players such as John Lundstram have been linked with moves away once their deals expire in the summer, but given Clement's desire to keep the midfielder at Ibrox, he could still sign a new contract.

On current form, the status of Rangers' four other out-of-contract players is less clear. Roofe has fallen well out of favour just as Cyriel Dessers has come back into form, while Barisic has been one of several underperformers in recent weeks.

Jack and Balogun have featured even less, clouding their futures further, though all four potential leavers can remain at Rangers after the run-in if they put in the performances required.

With five league games remaining, including another Old Firm clash with Celtic, prior to the Scottish Cup final, Rangers still have enough opportunities to make it a memorable season.
