Philippe Clement has confirmed Abdallah Sima is fit for the clash between Rangers and Celtic this Sunday (5 April).

The Senegal winger returned from a two-month injury during the 3-1 win over Hibernian last week as a substitute, and Clement has now shared that he is fit enough to start although he can't complete 90 minutes.

In other positive news Ridvan Yilmaz has been given a 50/50 chance of being fit for the game with a late decision to be made on the Turkey defender, with Borna Barisic expected to be available after limping off last time out.

Rangers get major boost ahead of Old Firm derby

It's been a really tough season for Rangers when it comes to injuries, with several key players suffering long-term problems.

Abdallah Sima has only just returned from two months out, Oscar Cortes is still injured alongside Danilo while all of Kieran Dowell, Todd Cantwell, Ryan Jack, Rabbi Matondo, Tom Lawrence have also missed large chunks of the season.

Ridvan Yilmaz and Borna Barisic were both doubts heading into the weekend after picking up injuries in recent weeks, but to have them available means the manager has a proper back-four to choose from.

In a game of such importance that can be the margins between a win, a draw and a defeat and with key attackers also available it means the boss has options to choose from.

In a game that is more must-not-lose than it is must-win it was important to not be predictable, and Clement and Rangers are in good shape.
