David Edgar has branded Motherwell's teenager Lennon Miller a "huge talent" following his performance against Rangers at Ibrox.

The man behind Heart & Hand Podcast praised the 17-year-old via Twitter on 4 March after 90 minutes in Stuart Kettlewell's midfield in the shock 2-1 win two days earlier.

Heart & Hand wrote: "This boy is a player. Huge talent."

Lennon Miller impressive again for Motherwell at Ibrox after Rangers speculation

The teenager has made 23 first-team appearances so far this season across all competitions in his first extensive senior football, having overcome two months out with injury to continue putting in strong performances.

As with the links to Lawrence Shankland there will be suggestions that Philippe Clement could go after the SPFL talent for as long as he keeps performing.

There isn't quite the same clear need for additions to the midfield as there currently is up top but the picture is liable to change in the summer.

At this stage it probably is indeed too early for a move unless he is going to get the same amount of game time elsewhere, and the pressure of the Old Firm is an extra element to keep in mind.

He has demonstrated he can perform to the right level in opposition to both Rangers and Celtic in back-to-back weeks, and wherever he is playing next season is likely to be an asset.

But Motherwell are surely going to be loath to see him go anywhere unless money they can't refuse is involved so the chances are he stays where he is unless the picture changes significantly before the summer.
