Rangers v Livingston Team News: Philippe Clement issues Kemar Roofe update
Philippe Clement has issued a team news update as his Rangers side will host Livingston at Ibrox on Saturday, 2 February.
Zak Lovelace will take some time to return, Danilo is out for the majority of the season at least while Kemar Roofe will be back before the end of the season.
Gers will be looking to put the pressure on leaders Celtic by picking up the three points.
Clement said: “Kemar, I expect him to be fit this season. Danilo we won’t risk, we will see at the end. We have Zak Lovelace, someone who was out injured, he has a bright future.”
Must win
Rangers have a strong historical record against Livingston, having never lost at home to them in 24 previous meetings across all competitions.
Additionally, they are currently unbeaten at Ibrox under Clement, winning eight out of nine home matches and conceding just five goals.
Livingston, on the other hand, have struggled in recent matches, failing to win any of their last 15 Scottish Premiership games and having one of the worst defensive records in the league.
With Rangers’ recent form and Livingston’s struggles, it’s reasonable to anticipate a dominant performance from the hosts in this match.
As for integrating new signings, Clement’s task begins now.
With the transfer window closed, he needs to ensure that the new players, like Mohammed Diomande and Oscar Cortes, seamlessly fit into the squad and understand the team’s tactics and style of play.
This match against Livingston provides an opportunity to start integrating them into the team and building chemistry among the players.
In other Rangers news, the club’s quest to seal a permanent transfer in the summer now hinges on one condition.
