Rangers ace Scott Arfield sends message to fans after Michael Beale decision at Ibrox
Scott Arfield has sent Rangers fans a message after the announcement that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season.
The Canadian international will exit the Gers this summer, having been at the club since 2018.
He will depart alongside Filip Helander, Ryan Kent, Allan McGregor and Alfredo Morelos upon the expiry of their contracts.
“Thank you for all the messages and love after the news yesterday team,” Arfield wrote on Instagram.
“Extremely flattered and it’s very much appreciated.”

Arfield will definitely be missed at Ibrox, with the player enjoying several years at the club, scoring many key goals and making many superb memories.
But all things must come to an end in football, and with Michael Beale keen on a major rebuild at Ibrox, it was a given that several players would be leaving at the end of the season.
Aged 34, Arfield perhaps doesn’t quite fit the mould of player that the manager wants to have around for the next campaign, with young and exciting talent needed to knock Celtic off their perch.
Plenty of Rangers supporters will be wishing that Arfield would stay for at least another year, but the decision has already been made, with the midfielder preparing to say his goodbyes to his teammates in blue.
Arfield will undoubtedly receive a warm reception from his adoring fans when Rangers host Hearts at Ibrox on Wednesday (24 May), in what is the club’s final home match of the season.
In other Rangers news, Beale has refused to confirm if two under contract players are part of his plans for next season.
