Scott Arfield and Alex Lowry to get rare starts - Rangers predicted XI v Hearts
Michael Beale could be forced into some changes for the final league game at Ibrox this season when Rangers face Hearts on Wednesday night (24 May).
The light blues are set to say goodbye to the fans in what has been an underwhelming campaign for the club, with Beale admitting that there will be big changes at the club during the summer window.
And it could be a chance for some of the players to say goodbye with their time at the club coming to an end, although there are several injuries within the squad that could limit that.
Robby McCrorie was just minutes away from securing a fifth consecutive clean sheet for Rangers, before a late goal from Hibernian wrecked that. But the keeper has impressed and will keep his place between the sticks for the game too.
Captain James Tavernier will continue at right-back after netting his 101st goal for the club last time out, with another good run of performances to close out the season. Ridvan Yilmaz is likely to continue at left-back too, with Borna Barisic still expected to miss out.
Connor Goldson is out for 10 weeks and could miss the start of the new season and Ben Davies is unlikely to have recovered just yet, meaning John Souttar and Leon King will continue their partnership at the heart of the defence.
Nicolas Raskin went off injured at the weekend and is unlikely to be rushed back which could see John Lundstram dropped into a deeper midfield role, while Ryan Jack’s new contract means he will still be at Ibrox next season.
Scott Arfield should then get the opportunity to slot into midfield for his potentially final game at Ibrox, and he could be partnered by youngster Alex Lowry who deserves a rare start ahead of a potential loan exit for next season.
In attack there are plenty of injuries and that could prevent Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos from saying their goodbyes on the pitch.
Todd Cantwell seems to be the main man in attack now under Beale and will start for Rangers, while Ianis Hagi will look to continue his road to recovery after scoring against Hibs.
Fashion Sakala is likely to start up front for Rangers in the absence of Morelos and Antonio Colak and lead the line as the number nine.
In other Rangers news, a new club have held talks with the agent of one Ibrox ace as an exit looms large.
