Rangers sensation Charlie Lindsay set for summer exit with Sunderland and Derby County keen on transfer
Rangers youngster Charlie Lindsay is reportedly on the radar of Sunderland and Derby County ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to the Daily Record [15 May, 17:33], the Northern Ireland under-19s international is set to leave Ibrox this summer.
The 19-year-old has been a regular for Gers’ B side this term, but wants to quit for good in order to gain more first-team opportunities.
Tough one to keep
Lindsay is one of the better players in the academy and Michael Beale certainly would have wanted him to stay beyond this summer.
The attacking midfielder can play in different positions and could soon be ready to knock on the door for a first-team berth as well.

He has been on the radar for a while and only seems to have got better over time – something that the coaches at Ibrox must be impressed with.
“That is an absolutely sublime pass from Charlie Lindsay,” Athletic journalist Jordan Campbell wrote in 2021.
“Can’t teach the imagination to see that pass so quickly or work out how to strike the ball in such an unusual way that it stays low but arcs to the right. Brilliant.”
As one can see from the video, Lindsay, aged 17, already had an eye for the killer pass and that facet of his game does not seem to have gone away just yet.
He would undoubtedly be welcome to stay beyond this summer, but it may be harder should Sunderland and Derby offer him an easier route to first-team football.
In other Rangers news, the club are clearly playing a sick joke with their supporters after they made an announcement about a senior player.
