Rangers in process of finalising Andrew Dickson exit at Ibrox, confirmation to come within days

Rangers are in the process of finalising the exit of Andrew Dickson, with confirmation of his departure to come within days, according to the Scottish Daily Mail.

The director of finance and football administration is set to head for the exit door after more than three decades working for the club.

It comes after Craig Mulholland, Douglas Park, Ross Wilson and Stewart Robertson have all left or confirmed themselves to be leaving at the end of this current season in what looks to be a significant refresh behind the scenes at Ibrox.

And according to the Scottish Daily Mail [4 May, back page & page 73], Dickson is set to become the next casualty of a boardroom clear-out with his departure said to be confirmed within days.

Damning exodus

There have been calls from the fans and those associated with the Light Blues for months now for big changes at Ibrox, and they look to be finally happening, although at a much quicker rate than expected.

After news that academy director Mulholland has departed the club after a spell spanning over 20 years, it seems as though the Rangers board are also showing another decorated staff the exit door in what looks to be a damning exodus at the club.

However, Rangers are in desperate need of fresh ideas though, with the danger of becoming too far behind the qualities of their Old Firm rivals Celtic both on and off the pitch becoming a real possibility if things don’t change soon.

Rangers boss Michael Beale will be undergoing a stark transition and revamp of the playing staff at Ibrox and that looks to be going on at the top too.

This is arguably one of the biggest summers of the club’s history as they attempt to transition into a new and improved era, and for that to happen, an unfortunate exodus has to occur.
